Wizz Air has released its passenger statistics for November 2017, showing traffic on the airline is up 22 per cent year on year.
The carrier has been expanding its network this year, with 22 new routes opening across Europe, helping to increase the airline’s capacity by 19.9 per cent. Wizz Air will also benefit from its acquisition of Monarch’s Luton take-off and landing slots, as well as an order placed for 146 new aircraft due to be delivered in the coming years.
In addition to an increase in passenger numbers, Wizz Air saw its load factor grow by 1.5 percentage points to 86.8 per cent.
The airline’s passenger numbers for the year to November 30 are up 24.4 per cent on 2015-2016, while capacity has increased by 21.1 per cent.
Revenue for the airline is also up 26.4 per cent for the 12 months to November 30, with ASK rising by 23 per cent.
