Airport bosses to swap roles at MAG

Ken O'Toole

Manchester Airports Group has announced that its CEOs at Manchester and Stansted are to swap roles.

Current Manchester airport CEO Ken O’Toole is to become boss at Stansted, while Stansted’s current CEO Andrew Cowen will take over the role at Manchester.

In another move, Collette Roche will take on the new role as MAG’s chief of staff leading the development of the group’s strategy.

All three changes will take effect from September.

Charlie Cornish, chief executive of MAG, said: “Both Ken and Andrew have demonstrated they are first class airport leaders during their career at MAG. I am pleased to have appointed them as the new CEOs of London Stansted and Manchester respectively.

“I know that Ken and Andrew will successfully develop their airports further as they play an even bigger role providing the global connectivity and runway capacity that this country needs in the coming years.

“Both airports are about to embark on significant periods of development and investment, and Ken and Andrew are the right people to lead them during this critical time.”

O’Toole has been in charge of Manchester airport since February and is also an executive director at MAG.

While Cowan has been CEO of Stansted since April 2016 having previously held the role of chief operating officer at MAG.
