Airbnb has announced a technology partnership with Siteminder that will see the home-sharing website open its distribution platform to traditional hospitality providers.
Under the partnership, businesses such as boutique hotels and B&Bs that use Siteminder and meet Airbnb’s standards can list rooms on the Airbnb platform. Properties will also be able to connect booking information to their existing management system in real-time.
According to PhocusWire, the deal between Airbnb and Siteminder is not exclusive and could be extended to other hotel distribution platforms in future.
Siteminder services more than 28,000 clients, including boutique hotels, hotel ownership groups and other hospitality providers.
