Amadeus has appointed Liz Emmott as general manager for the UK following Champa Magesh’s move into the role of vice president of retail travel channels for Asia Pacific.
Emmott will take up the role from 1 April and will be based at Amadeus’ office at Gatwick airport. In her new position, Emmott will be responsible for overseeing business strategies, championing the needs of the market and continuing the company’s initiatives to drive growth for its customers.
Emmott is currently sales director at Amadeus. Prior to this, she spent several years in senior management roles at American Express Global Business Travel.
Magesh commented: “As I embark on my new role based in Singapore, I am delighted to be entrusting the UK business into the capable hands of Liz Emmott. Although it’s tough to say goodbye to such a dynamic market, I’m confident that Liz’s appointment will ensure the company gears up for even greater success in 2018.”
