Emirates has announced it will launch a fourth daily service between Dubai and Sydney from March 25 2018.
The extra flight will be operated by the carrier’s A380 aircraft, which offers 489 seats in three cabin classes, and will increase capacity on the route by 6,846 inbound and outbound seats a week – a 7.3 per cent increase.
The move offers European and North African travellers greater connectivity to Australia and complements a partnership with Qantas, which now reroutes its Sydney to London flights via Singapore instead of Dubai. It gives passengers travelling from London and other main European cities the option of a next-day, afternoon arrival in Sydney with a short connection in Dubai.
Emirates has already announced additional flights to Australia, with a third flight on the Brisbane route due to open on December 1 and a third Melbourne service to follow on March 25 2018. These new developments will bring the airline’s total weekly flights to Australia to 91.
