London’s Strand Palace Hotel has revealed the first of its newly refurbished guest rooms, with more rooms set to be re-opened in the coming months.
The new Superior and Deluxe rooms feature air conditioning and a range of White Company toiletries. They are decorated in a neutral palette and beds include Hypnos mattresses and premium linens.
Complimentary amenities available at the property include high-speed wifi, mineral water, tea and coffee, in-room phone calls and umbrellas for guest use. Deluxe rooms have the added benefit of bathrobes, a free mini-bar, Nespresso machine and Bose sound systems.
This initial release of guest rooms across the ninth floor are the precursor to future unveilings, with the eighth floor set to re-open in June and the 11th floor in September.
The hotel’s ground floor – including the reception area, concierge, restaurant and bars – will also undergo renovations, with the full project set to be completed by April 2020.
David MacRae, general manager of the Strand Palace Hotel, said: “Ever since we first opened our doors in 1909, the Strand Palace has put the guest experience at the forefront of all we do. This initial release is just the first small step in a complete reimagining of what it means to stay with us in the heart of London, where the City meets the West End, and the whole team is excited to see how this latest chapter in our history develops.”
