Emirates is set to receive its 100th A380 on November 3, solidifying its position as the world’s largest operator of the aircraft.
The airline introduced the A380 to its fleet in 2008 and has updated its cabins over the years. The current aircraft features an onboard lounge with space for up to 26 people, as well as a shower spa for the 14 passengers flying in first class. Business class seats (pictured) offer fully-flat beds, 20-inch screens for in-flight entertainment and a personal mini-bar.
The news comes as Emirates is set to increase its Birmingham frequency from one to two daily flights starting October 29, bringing the total UK services onboard the A380 to 14 per day.
