Norwegian has announced several changes in its group management team, including the appointment of a new CFO, CIO and executive VP of strategic development.
Geir Karlsen (pictured above) has been appointed to the role of chief financial officer at Norwegian. Karlsen was previously CFO at shipping company Navig8 Group and has extensive experience within shipping and offshore. He will take up his new position from 3 April.
Acting CFO Tore Ostby (pictured below) will continue with the company as executive vice president of strategic development. Ostby has 15 years of experience from the financial sector, as well as seven years’ experience within the Orkla Group.
Finally, Kurt Simonsen (pictured below) is Norwegian’s new chief information officer. Simonsen spent the last 17 years as partner and co-owner of consulting company Infocom Group AS and has experience from Hewlett-Packard and Telenor.
