Bill Wilkins has been appointed group chief technology officer at mobility service provider Flit Technologies, parent company of ride-hailing platform Karhoo.
Wilkins joins the company from First Utility, where he was CTO and CIO. During his tenure, Wilkins was responsible for building a new smart energy platform that underpinned growth at the firm, which led to a strategic sale to Shell.
Prior to First Utility, Wilkins was a senior director at Sun Microsystems and has held various management roles at other technology and software product firms.
Wilkins joins an executive team that will be responsible for developing group strategy, product roadmap and implementing the scale-out of the business.
Co-CEOs Boris Pilchowski and Nicolas Andine commented: “As Flit Technologies enters this exciting phase in our business journey, we wanted to bring on board a dynamic CTO who has demonstrated innovation and leadership throughout their career. Bill has those traits in abundance.”
Wilkins added: “We have already exchanged ideas and discussed a lot of exciting plans. This company is growing rapidly and with such a solid infrastructure already in place, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Flit Technologies.”
