HRS: Think Independent

Independent hotels constitute the biggest share in the worldwide hotel market in almost all regions.

Given their market share, chain hotels are over-represented in the ranks of preferred hotels in most corporate hotel programs.

Are companies worldwide passing on significant savings? An HRS data analysis looked into the rates and quality ratings.

Why should you read HRS’ latest white paper?

This paper aims to assess whether corporates could save money by increasing the share of independent hotels in their portfolio. To do so HRS analysed the rates of all booked hotel nights between January 2015 and September 2016 in the top 50 business travel destinations in EMEA. Only rates at the same star level, with identical amenities such as breakfast and Wi-Fi, were compared.
