About The Opportunity
The overall objective of this role is to source, identify and develop corporate travel business opportunities for FCM Travel Solutions UK that deliver individual and team targeted revenue and margin growth in line with FCM strategies and annual budget. The successful candidate will implement strategies to develop corporate relationships with key decision makers to create new sales opportunities via networking, client profiling, social selling and cold calling.
To achieve in this role, you’ll also need the ability to present products and services in a compelling way, both financially and operationally, to maximise client travel spend.
Specific responsibilities include:
Leading bids on a portfolio of targeted prospects, supported by UK head of sales, UK bid team and central support services
Follow internal Large Market Sales process to ensure best practice
Identify and propose the best possible pricing and commercial strategy for all RFPs for sign off
Develop strategies to present a competitive offering
Develop the UK sales/value proposition for FCM Travel Solutions, working within FCM to ensure market driven product development
Direct effective management of account wins from Sales to Business Implementation & Support team
Represent FCM in the UK industry, developing a high personal and company profile in the corporate buyers’ market
FCM is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with the following abilities and knowledge:
Indepth knowledge and understanding of the corporate travel sector
Understanding of TMC offering including operations and account management
Logical planned approach to the full sales life cycle
Strong commitment to selling and promotion of the company and brand
Organised approach to delivering and selling
Excellence in both internal and external forms of communication
Corporate sales growth and achievement
Ability to present at board-level
