Hilton has opened its latest UK hotel near Terminal Five at Heathrow Airport.
It is the second property the company has at the major London airport.
The 350-bedroomed hotel is about one mile from Terminal Five and designed to accommodate both business and leisure guests.
Bedrooms are equipped with workspace and free Internet access.
The hotel has space for nearly 1200 guests in its confernece area as well as a further 800 in its ballroom. There is also a range of cafes, bars and restaurants.
The property will be managed by Greg Place.
Dave Horton, global head of Hilton Hotels & Resorts, said: “As a leading global hotel brand in the UK we are delighted to open our second hotel at one of the world’s busiest airports.
“From exceptional restaurants and bars to a luxurious spa, Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 is a highly anticipated addition to Heathrow.”
Hilton has also announced the signing of a deal for its first hotel in the West African country of Sierra Leone.
The new property, the Hilton Freetown Cape Sierra, is in the capital of Freetown and is due to open in 2014.
It is planned to have 200 rooms, including 60 executive suites, a business centre and a range of restaurants and bars.
