Hyatt Centric has opened a new property in the Spanish capital Madrid as part of its expansion in Europe.
The “lifestyle” brand’s latest hotel is Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid, which also becomes the first Hyatt property in mainland Spain.
The 159-room hotel is located on Gran Via in central Madrid within a historic 1920s building.
A second European property, Hyatt Centric La Rosiere, has also opened in the French ski resort.
Steve Haggerty, global head of capital strategy and franchising at Hyatt, said: “Since its launch in 2015, the Hyatt Centric brand has proven to be one of the fastest-growing lifestyle brands.
“The introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand to these European destinations marks a significant milestone for Hyatt, as we continue to increase our brand presence where our guests travel most and further connect with millennial-minded guests in the upper-upscale lifestyle segment.”
Hyatt Centric currently has 19 properties across the world including the US, Australia, Japan, China, Peru and Qatar.
