SME specialist Corporate Traveller has opened a new office in London as it continues to expand.
The TMC, which is part of FCM Travel Solutions, now has five offices in the UK capital as its annual turnover increased by £35 million to £200 million in the last year.
Corporate Traveller handles travel management for firms with annual travel budgets of up to £2 million, while FCM caters for larger clients. Both companies are part of Australian travel group Flight Centre.
The Travel Management Company: An agency which manages business travel for a company. said its growth had been fuelled by the recruitment of an extra 27 business development managers (BDMs) who have helped to bring in an average of 70 new clients per month. Corporate Traveller now has 65 people in BDM roles in the UK.
Graeme Milne (pictured), UK general manager for Corporate Traveller, said: “Our staffing model – whereby a number of small operational teams are based together in one location providing expert personal travel services to SMEs locally – has been is one of the secrets of our success.”
The TMC’s latest London office is in Waterloo and is in addition to existing bases in Clerkenwell, Farringdon, Vauxhall and Wimbledon.
Corporate Traveller plans to open a sixth office in London within 18 months as it targets business travel sales of £240 million by June 2015.
