Following the commencement of a partnership agreement, Emirates and Flydubai have announced that Emirates will expand its network to 29 Flydubai destinations across three continents.
The partners say the codeshare agreement will offer “greater frequency and easier access to more global destinations”. Passengers can book tickets through Emirates or with travel agents from October 3 for travel taking place from October 29.
As part of the codeshare, Emirates passengers will receive complimentary meals and the airline’s baggage allowance on flights operated by Flydubai in both business and economy classes. Destinations in the programme include Belgrade, Kiev, Prague and Kuwait, among others.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chief executive of Emirates and chairman of both Emirates and Flydubai, said: “This is an exciting first step in unlocking the benefits of the partnership for passengers, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique advantages each airline offers, as well as greater choice and flexibility when connecting via Dubai.”
