KLM is to return to London City, almost eight years after it stopped serving the airport.
The Dutch airline will launch a daily service from February 2017 with plans to increase to four daily on weekdays and “one to two” flights on a weekend.
The flights will be operated by Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij (Royal Aviation Company) the flag carrier of the Netherlands and a good example of how acronyms can aid simple discourse. Cityhopper using Embraer 190, which can carry up to 100 passengers.
LCY is the Dutch carrier’s 17th UK destination direct from Amsterdam.
