The Expedia Group confirmed it has reached an agreement to allow its corporate and leisure customers in European markets to avoid paying the GDS booking fee levied by Air France KLM.

The €11 one-way fee went into effect on 1 April for Air France, KLM and Hop! flights, but clients booking through Expedia, ebookers and Egencia in Europe (including the UK and Switzerland) won’t have to pay the charge.

Expedia says the agreement is part of a wider collaboration with Air France KLM and “selected GDS partners” to integrate New Distribution Capabilities (NDC).
