Global hotel solutions provider HRS has introduced a new Meetings and Groups (M&G) sourcing service targeted at the growing simple meetings management (SMM) segment.

The company has found businesses spend US$565 billion on meetings worldwide and are projected to spend more in 2019.

The M&G sourcing service fits into HRS’s existing corporate hotel procurement solution. It offers companies an option to gain transparency on meetings spend while allowing them to leverage HRS’s transient sourcing process and global network of hotel specialists to secure savings on meeting room space, guest nights, food and beverage costs and more.

Beyond sourcing, HRS has an automated search and book platform that prioritises a negotiated programme. The firm also offers rate protection technology to ensure clients do not pay more than the rates they have negotiated.
