Wizz Air has announced it will launch a route between Birmingham and Cluj International airport in Romania from 16 December.
The service connects the second-largest cities in both the UK and Romania. Cluj-Napoca is home to a growing technology industry, as well as historic sites and cultural attractions.
The route will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays, with flights leaving Birmingham at 0740 and landing in Cluj at 1240 local time. Departures from Cluj are at 0605 and land in Birmingham at 0710.
Wizz Air operates a fleet of A320 and A321 aircraft, eight of which are based in the UK.
The new route joins 13 others launched from the UK in 2018.
