Concur has announced a partnership with rail technology firm Silverrail.
The deal will see Concur develop a direct link to Silvercore, the company’s technology platform for global rail distribution. It will provide Concur users direct access to various EMEA rail providers’ booking services.
Concur said with rail bookings being made directly through its platform, journeys can now be expensed directly to employers. Concur users will also be able to take advantage of discounted booking costs.
Starting in December 2016, the partnership which will initially focus on bookings in Spain (via rail provider Renfe) and Sweden (via rail provider SJ) with plans to add further countries in the coming months.
Concur’s current relationships with other rail platforms including Amtrak (US), Trainline and Evolvi (both UK), SNCF (France), Deutsche Ban (Germany) and VIA Rail (Canada) continue as usual. The company also expects to partner with further platforms across the world in 2017.
