UK-based TMC Key Travel has signed a new five-year technology partnership deal with Amadeus.

The new deal will run until 2022 and comes as Key Travel looks to expand in markets such as the UK, European Union and North America.

Saad Hammad, who only joined Key Travel as the company’s new CEO in November, said: “Over the last few years, Key Travel has worked hand in hand with the team at Amadeus to bring new and innovative solutions to our sector.

“In renewing our successful long-term relationship with Amadeus, we are confident that Key Travel is well positioned for the future as we scale geographically and accelerate our sales development.”

Key Travel has already been working with Amadeus in the UK for the last 10 years and the new deal will cover international markets as well.

Champa Magesh, managing director of Amadeus UK & Ireland, added: “We are delighted to be extending our decade-long partnership with Key Travel across international markets, particularly in the US where we are both experiencing rapid growth.

Hammad, who was previously CEO for regional airline Flybe, took over from Key Travel’s previous boss Spence Knudson, who has left the TMC, on November 10.
