Bmi re-brands and unveils refreshed website

Bmi has re-branded to Flybmi and launched a redesigned website with a new booking platform.

Flybmi says it decided to re-brand to be in line with its website address. The new logo retains some of the visual elements of the old branding.

The regional airline says its new website, which launched on 26 June, is optimised for mobile usage and features functionality that will appeal to both business and leisure travellers.

A new booking platform developed by 2e Systems enables customers to “move through the booking flow”, according to Flybmi. Bookers can now compare pricing across flight times and dates, see Flybmi’s full suite of retail products and pay for their bookings in various payment forms and currencies, irrespective of their point of origin.

Customers can also check-in for flights online, manage their booking by adding extras such as fast-track security or airport lounge access and find out more about how to charter a private jet for business or leisure purposes.

Antony Price, Flybmi’s director of marketing and customer, commented: “We have worked very hard to create an easy-to-use website working equally well in all user interfaces that appeals to both our corporate and leisure customers. We believe the new site does exactly that.

“The clean, sharp design makes it easy for time-pressed business travellers to navigate and book flights and find important content, whilst the redesigned destination reviews are there to inform and inspire those looking for a holiday or mini-break within Europe.

“We’re also delighted that both the website and official title of the airline will now be consistently referred to as Flybmi. It will refresh and enhance the brand.”
