Air Transat is launching its first programme of fares for business travellers on routes between the UK and Canada.
The Canadian carrier’s business travel fares have been designed for the SME market and will be available for Air Transat’s flights from Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow, as well as connecting services.
Air Transat will operate 40 direct flights between the UK and Canada in summer 2019 to Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Edmonton and Quebec City.
The airline offers Club Class on international flights alongside the economy cabin, while business travellers can also upgrade to Option Plus, which includes an extra baggage allowance, seat allocation, priority airport services and onboard food and drink.
Air Transat is making the new fares available to TMCs and has already finalised its first trade partnership with Amber Road, formerly CTI.
Adrian Keating, Air Transat’s commercial director, UK and Ireland, said: “Air Transat’s wide range of frequent services, and choice of cabins and products, make us the ideal airline for cost-conscious business travellers looking to fly from the UK to Canada.
“Initial interest from TMCs has been strong, and we are confident of agreeing other partnerships in the weeks ahead.”
