Boutique apart-hotel operator Staying Cool has launched the first phase of a new ‘digital concierge’ app for guests.
The app, built on the Criton platform, can be downloaded for free ahead of a stay for access to a range of guides, video information and recommendations to enhance a guest’s experience. All the information is written by the Staying Cool guest relations team.
Staying Cool says the Criton platform allows the team to easily update information on the app and add extra functions including online check-in and an events database. The company says the paperless information is in line with its green policy.
Tracey Stephenson, MD of Staying Cool, said: “We especially like the fact that the app is editorially rather than advertising driven. Every recommendation is there because we like the place ourselves rather than because we will make money from it – unlike so many other concierge-style products on the market at the moment.
“Criton has been created by people in our industry for our industry and I trust their expertise. I also see its potential and will continue to work with Criton to integrate new functionality and constantly push our levels of service and guest experience ever higher.”
