Travel and Transport Statesman and Kuoni Business Travel have both joined the Radius Travel global network of agencies.
Founded in 1975, Travel and Transport Statesman is the result of a 2017 tie-up between Travel and Transport and London-based Statesman Travel Group. Since the acquisition, the TMC has increased sales by US$40 million.
Travel and Transport acquired Radius Travel in October 2018.
Kuoni Business Travel has three specialist offices in Zurich, Geneva and Lugano and is owned by DER Touristik, a subsidiary of the REWE Group in Germany that also owns Derpart – another Radius agency partner.
Welcoming the two agencies, Kieran Hartwell, president of Radius Travel, said: “We’re excited to welcome both of these highly-qualified travel management companies to our agency network. In many of our global markets, Radius operates with multiple agency partners, which encourages diversity in our product offering and provides our clients a truly global, personalised programme.
“Both agencies, as with all our existing and new agency members, meet Radius Travel’s high standards for membership and have passed our standardised due diligence process to become members.”
Mervyn Williamson, MD of Travel and Transport Statesman, commented: “By joining the Radius Travel network of world-class agencies, Travel and Transport Statesman will have immediate access to a credible, dynamic and growing international network of travel management companies. We are looking forward to positioning this global model with our multinational customers.”
Andreas Schneider, head of business travel at Kuoni Business Travel, added: “Kuoni Business Travel is pleased to join a well-regarded and dynamic network of travel agencies. A global network like Radius, with multinational know-how is important to our customers with international needs. Radius will provide local, highly personalised and comprehensive service with state-of-the-art technology and best practices for our client travel programme.”
