Wyndham Hotel Group will add a “by Wyndham” suffix to the names of 12 of its brands.
Super 8, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Americinn, Baymont, Ramada, Ramada Encore, Dolce, Dazzler, Esplendor and Trademark have all added the Wyndham tag. The brands represent 7,074 properties around the world.
The updated brand names and logos will appear across Wyndham’s digital presence, including websites, mobile sites and third-party listings, from 16 April. The company says it expects the entire update to be completed by December 2022.
Wyndham says the cross-branding initiative “unites the company’s diverse hoteliers under a common mission and name” and expects the move to improve brand awareness across its portfolio.
Barry Goldstein, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Wyndham Hotel Group, commented: “This new designation for our brands is a celebration of the accomplishments we’ve made in our mission to make travel possible for everyone, revolutionising Wyndham Rewards and elevating our brands through a laser focus on quality, technology and sales and marketing.”
Lisa Checcio, senior vice president of global brands at Wyndham Hotel Group, added: “Putting that powerful name on the front door drives trial and builds tremendous awareness.”
