Yesterday’s strike on Air France is continuing today (11 April) and the airline is warning of continued industrial action over the next two weeks.

The carrier expects to run around 70 per cent of its scheduled flights today, telling passengers to check before they travel and leave plenty of time regardless if they have received a message regarding their service. Last-minute delays and cancellations can be expected as staff continue their dispute with the airline over pay increases.

Further industrial action is expected to take place on 17April, followed by two consecutive days of strikes on 23 and 24 April.

Air France says it is “too early” to determine the impact of the later strike action and will update its website accordingly. Passengers affected by any cancellations will be informed, according to the airline.

A notice on the carrier’s website says flights operated by Hop!, KLM and Delta under a codeshare will not be affected by the strike.

The Air France industrial action comes as French rail workers plan to continue walk-outs over the next three months in protest of president Emmanuel Macron’s labour reforms.
