Hainan Airlines will launch a non-stop service between Heathrow and Changsha Huangua International airport in Hunan province on 23 March.
The announcement follows the roll-out of Hainan’s flights between Manchester and Beijing. The airline says Changsha is the political, economic, cultural and technological hub of Hunan province.
Flights will be operated by the B787 aircraft with lie-flat seats in Business Class. Business passengers also have access to amenities such as Bose headsets and Bulgari toiletry bags.
The service will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing London at 2200 and landing at 1645 local time the following day, with return flights leaving Changsha at 1120 and arriving in London at 1630 local time the same day.
