Turkish Airlines has increased its free baggage allowance to economy and business class passengers travelling from Edinburgh airport.

Free baggage allowance in economy class will increase to 40kg and 50kg for business class passengers for routes from the Scottish capital to Asia, Middle East and Africa.

“We have achieved significant growth recently, increasing our capacity by 51 per cent for the period January to August 2014 compared to the same period in 2013,” said Turkish Airlines general manager for Edinburgh, Ahmet Serhat Sari.

“As a result we are offering passengers the freedom to not be restricted by baggage allowance on our flights.”
