Oneworld has teamed up with British Airways to target travel agents to enrol in the alliance’s training academy.

An email will be sent to around 50,000 agents to sign up to Oneworld’s training scheme which has been developed with the support of training specialists OTT.

The online training scheme features a series of modules designed to enable participants to sell the alliance’s fares “with confidence”.

Oneworld Director of Sales José María Alvarado said: “Oneworld offers the widest range of alliance fares, and the vast majority of their sales are made through travel agents.

“Yet there is quite a wide-spread myth in the travel industry that alliance fares are complicated to sell and book. 

“The Oneworld Training Academy knocks that firmly on the head by showing how quick, easy and simple Oneworld fares are to work with and how attractive they are to customers.”
