Flydubai unveiled its first Boeing 737 Max 8 during the Dubai Airshow over the weekend, showcasing the first of 76 aircraft on order from Boeing.
The Max 8 will be introduced on the airline’s Bangkok, Prague, Yekaterinburg and Zanzibar routes, with additional aircraft due to be delivered by the end of this year. Flydubai says all of the planes on order will be delivered by 2023 and will eventually be available on most of the carrier’s routes.
Flydubai has launched six new destinations in 2017, growing its network to more than 95 routes. It has also increased its schedule to more than 1,700 flights a week and began a codeshare agreement with Emirates in October.
