Nobu Hospitality is to open its first European hotel in London’s Shoreditch area.
The group, which is most famous for its Nobu brand of restaurants run by Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa, plans to unveil the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London in early 2016.
The 156-room hotel is currently being built and will include food and beverage menus developed specifically for the property by Matsuhisa. Facilities will also include banqueting and meeting rooms, and a fitness centre.
Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality, said: “The Nobu Hotel Shoreditch in London is our first European hotel joining our growing portfolio collection of hotels covering select locations in the Americas, Middle East and Asia.
“We are continuing to expand our global hotel footprint with a robust development pipeline working with the best strategic partners.”
Nobu Hospitality opened its first hotel in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last year and plans to open further properties in Riyadh and Manila later this year. Hotels are also planned for Miami Beach and Chicago.
