Airfare and hotel price tracking platform Yapta has achieved Service Organisation Control 2 (SOC 2) Type II compliance status, which verifies that its information security practices, policies and procedures meet the Trust Services Principles and Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity and Confidentiality.
The certification follows an examination focused on Yapta’s adherence to criteria set out by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and shows that the company’s procedures protect travel itinerary data observed and managed by its IQ technology.
James Filsinger, president and CEO of Yapta, commented: “We’ve effectively demonstrated that our operations and processes meet the highest level of trust and transparency. As a cloud-based services provider, this is extremely important, particularly to our large customers in highly regulated industries.”
Brandon Evans, CTO of Yapta, added: “We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of our customers’ data. We are constantly monitoring, reviewing, improving and enhancing our controls and policies to position us for compliance with future security certifications and attestations.”
In 2017, Yapta won Best Specialist Business Travel Service at the Business Travel Awards.
