Airplus International is set to launch its new European Corporate Card that will offer a standardised service across 19 countries.
BBT reported on Airplus’s initial announcement on plans for the new solution at a press event in May.
The card will be available in France from 24 September, with Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the UK, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland to follow by the end of 2019.
The European Corporate Card provides a globally-deployable solution to pay for business-related expenses during trips. Airplus says in the future, companies will enjoy the same benefits and services across all 19 countries.
According to Airplus, the card offers a central touch point for all matters across all 19 European countries rather than using various national banking partners.
Business travellers will have access to full insurance coverage when using the card, as well as local Airplus customer service and a high level of acceptance in the Mastercard network.
Patrick W Diemer, CEO of Airplus International, commented: “With the new European Corporate Card solution, Airplus meets the need of multinational customers to standardise payment processes. Airplus customers and their employees can now count on a single partner who centralises, simplifies and harmonises all processes – from the implementation of the card programme to payment and reporting.”
