Yotel has signed an exclusive hotel management contract with IGA, the operator of Istanbul New airport, to open a property at the hub.
The hotel will be situated inside the main terminal building. It will consist of 451 rooms, 102 of which will have airside access for passengers in transit. Both parts of the property will feature public spaces, co-working and relaxing areas, wellness centres and planted glazed atriums.
The landside zone will also include a restaurant, bar and 24/7 gym. There will also be a selection of meeting spaces of varying size fitted with technology.
It will be Yotel’s first property in Turkey.
Istanbul New airport is expected to open in October 2018 and will replace Ataturk airport.
Hubert Viriot, CEO of Yotel, said: “We’ve witnessed Turkey’s and particularly Istanbul’s remarkable economic and urban development, transformation and its noticeably increased popularity over the past few years. Istanbul New airport will only further increase Istanbul’s ever-expanding popularity and economy and Yotel is delighted to be a part of it.”
