Moving From BCD Travel
Moving To HRS

Global hotel solutions provider HRS has appointed Chris Crowley as its new vice president for EMEA operations, overseeing sales and account management across the continent.

Crowley joins HRS with more than 25 years’ experience in the managed travel space, having spent the last 12 years at BCD Travel, most recently as senior vice president of programme management and commercial services for EMEA. He is also a former president of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and recently joined the board of the Institute of Travel Management (ITM).

Prior to his leadership role in EMEA, Crowley directed sales initiatives targeting multi-national clients in the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions, winning clients representing more than US$3 billion in annual travel volume.

A UK native, Crowley will be based at HRS’ London office. He will be at the GBTA Convention in San Diego with HRS from 12-15 August.

Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS, commented: “Chris Crowley has a wealth of contacts from years of working with large companies, and he has a firm grasp on the transition to more data-driven, everyday hotel programme management. As our global imprint increases, we anticipate Chris will continue being a leader in boosting the industry to a new level with disruptive solutions.”

Crowley added: “It’s an exciting time to join HRS because global customer wins such as Siemens and other Fortune 500 companies show the great potential of the company. It’s obvious that HRS’ unique value proposition – from sourcing to rate protection to booking to payment – is gaining traction. Corporations have grown smarter about the gaps in their hotel programmes, and HRS is leading the charge to drive that awareness. I look forward to doing my part to help global hotel programmes optimise their lodging expenditures as well as increase efficiency and traveller satisfaction.”
