Serviced apartment provider Oakwood has appointed Ken Moore as managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to joining Oakwood, Moore managed brands in the hospitality and serviced apartment sector, including Pavilion Group, Dong Du International and Le Meridien Resorts. Most recently, he managed the development and opening of the Shanghai Town & Country Community project and the Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
Moore joins as the EMEA region experiences significant market growth and will lead efforts to scale Oakwood’s Europe, Middle East and Africa operations to serve existing and emerging customer needs and expand the business.
Chris Ahearn, CEO of Oakwood, commented: “I am delighted to have Ken join the Oakwood executive team. Ken’s background in hospitality management and his ability to drive customer service and expand market presence make him a great fit for leading the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. I am confident Ken will leverage his global experience spanning Europe, Asia and the Middle East to deliver on the aggressive growth plans Oakwood has set for the region.”
Moore added: “I am thrilled to be joining the forward-thinking and ever-advancing team at Oakwood. I have the opportunity with this role to build on the great work that Oakwood is already doing to transform the serviced apartments industry. I hope to use the experience and expertise I have gained from working across a range of leisure and hospitality companies to further develop the Oakwood brand.”
