Buying Business Travel is the official UK media partner to the GBTA’s European conference, which takes place in Frankfurt on November 28-30.
GBTA says the four dedicated meetings sessions will share best practice and industry-leading case studies:
- How the West is won: success stories from optimised meetings & events programmes – this session will focus on recent research on strategic meetings management programme (SMMP) trends and forecasts, and how best to capitalise on it.
- Measuring the ROI of learning: a best fit, pragmatic approach for measuring ROI that can be adapted to a wide range of contexts and learner types.
- Travel management meets meeting management: a step-by-step practical guide on how to manage a combined meetings and travel spend to benefit your organisation.
- The Meeting of the Future: will look at technology disruptors affecting the meetings space and what meetings may look like in 20 years’ time.
The wider education programme includes ‘how to’ sessions on communications and travel management, with case studies from the likes of Google and Microsoft. Sessions will also examine issues such as the forthcoming GDPR legislation; risk and distribution; and insights into how APIs (application programming interfaces), AI (artificial intelligence) and robotics will change managed travel.
The event is expected to feature its largest expo to date. Last year’s conference attracted 1,000 delegates from more than 30 countries.
