A new business travel product that claims to allow intuitive planning has been launched by FCm Travel Solutions.

The FCm Portal Plus provides clients with trip planner information and booking functionality in one site and can also be linked to the company”s online booking tool. The facility can equally be tailored to incorporate customer branding and include client-specific content.

FCm says the new system ” designed in tandem with Item Consulting ” can improve travel and expense management by allowing all aspects of business travel to be located in one system and showing the appropriate trip policy with a pre-authorisation process, if necessary, for the whole journey, not just the air sector.

One of the key aspects of the product is the ”Plan my Trip” element, with the traveller entering journey details and the system working out when to leave home or office, flight times, time differences and transfers, as well as airport parking.

All information is available to anyone within the client”s corporation, meaning that a US employee for example, can organise a trip to London and access the preferred hotels set up for the UK office.

”The travel manager can use Portal Plus to set travel policy, drive traveller behaviour and ensure complete policy compliance, not only for air and hotels, but for the whole trip,” said FCm Travel Solutions director client services, Karen Spence.
