Budget hotel company Premier Inn has signed a global distribution deal with Amadeus.
It is the first time Premier Inn rooms will be sold via a global distribution system (GDS).
Hugo Ehrnreich, head of hotel distribution at Amadeus, said demand for budget hotels is “soaring”
“Having Premier Inn content is great news for us as it further increases our UK and Ireland market coverage and gives Amadeus a well-balanced portfolio of hotel content across all price ranges.”
With the deal, Premier Inn hopes to expand its distribution, focusing on new business from France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
All of Premier Inn’s 580 properties will be available via Global Distribution System - a major electronic worldwide reservation system used by travel agents to book flights, hotels, car rental and other travel services. The major players in this area are Sab... from mid-August.
