Altour International is the newest member to join the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC).
The has a team of some 40 people in the UK who specialise in travel management for the entertainment sector as well as medical repatriation and corporate finance.
Founded in 1991 in the US and launched in the UK in 1999, Altour operates with a mix of employees and independent contractors running their own businesses under the Altour umbrella.
Nigel Parkinson, Altour’s UK general manager, said he was “thrilled” to be joining the Guild of Travel Management Companies - now the Business Travel Association, the major UK-based association representing TMCs and hoped to become an active member.
“We believe membership will further strengthen Altour’s UK profile and provide access to fellow members, suppliers and governmental departments at a senior level,” he said.
“In turn we hope our experience and people will add to the existing knowledge base of the Guild of Travel Management Companies - now the Business Travel Association, the major UK-based association representing TMCs.”
