Addison Lee launches global digital service

Addison Lee is launching a global digital service that it says will allow customers to book journeys in more than 100 cities worldwide via its app. To support this expansion, the group is investing £65 million of additional fleet for its London and New York operations.

Through the Addison Lee app and website, corporate customers can now book cars across the globe, including Paris, Berlin, Beijing and Johannesburg. The group says its premium service levels are guaranteed through its affiliate network of 5,000 partners.

Booking international cars through the app is similar to the experience in the group’s London and New York operations, according to Addison Lee, and the app uses a combination of Apple Maps and Google Maps APIs to show customers local maps and allow them to see their location.

In addition, Addison Lee has announced it will invest £65 million in new vehicles for London and New York. The group says it will lease from a range of brands, including Ford, Mercedes and Cadillac, while it maintains that it will be ready to roll out electric vehicles when better infrastructure is in place.

Addison Lee was named Best Ground Transportation Company at the 2018 Business Travel Awards.
