Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has partnered with meetings collaboration platform Social Tables to launch a new ‘Shop & RFP’ digital experience for planners.

The platform is designed to connect group, meeting and event planners with the more than 5,400 IHG properties around the globe and will allow event and travel managers to source and compare venues.

IHG says it has already received more than 15,000 RFPs through its new site.

The new platform includes a suite of information on the venues, including hotel and meeting room details such as room capacities, floor plans and interactive maps, along with image galleries and nearby attractions. IHG says this allows both travel managers and event planners to find venues that match their function based on location, capacities and amenities across the group’s 15 brands.

Customers booking on behalf of others can also take advantage of IHG Business Rewards to earn points for themselves when they book accommodation, meetings or events at participating properties.

Social Tables was recently acquired by event technology company Cvent but will continue operating as usual.
