Aeroflot Group has posted an increase of 16.3 per cent in passenger numbers for the first ten months of 2017, carrying 42.6 million customers.
Aeroflot airline made up 27.7 million of the total number, an increase of 13.9 per cent year on year. Meanwhile, group RPKs grew by 17.3 per cent and ASKs were up by 15.5 per cent. Passenger load factor rose by 1.3 percentage points to 83.5 per cent for the group and to 82.6 per cent for Aeroflot.
October saw an increase of 12.1 per cent in passenger traffic, with 4.3 million customers using the group. These numbers were boosted by a 19.3 per cent year-on-year rise in passengers on international routes, driven by increased flight frequencies and the launch of new routes.
In October, Aeroflot Group added five new aircraft to its fleet, including two B737-800s, one A320 and one A321. Since the start of 2017, the group has increased its fleet by 25 planes.
