Global ground transportation booking service GroundScope has announced that its shareholders have recently made a multimillion-pound investment in the business to continue its growth.
GroundScope says the money will allow it to invest in its technology offering, with plans to develop a new mobile app and online booking tool in 2019. The company claims the choice to create new tools comes after increased demand from its existing customers.
The company also plans to increase its global coverage across both pre-booked and on-demand services, provide a security service in high-risk destinations and boost its green content as more service partners move to electric and hybrid fleets.
GroundScope is also recruiting new staff for its management team to help steer its growth.
CEO John McCallion commented: “GroundScope’s clients want to book a global car service on one platform and our latest investment will allow the business to allocate a significant spend on developing a new mobile app and online booking tool for 2019. This is a very exciting time for the industry and our new investment will ensure that GroundScope’s service and customer booking experience continues to stay at the forefront of the industry.”
GroundScope was shortlisted in the Best Ground Transportation Company category at the 2019 Business Travel Awards.
