Key Travel has become the latest TMC to win a contract to provide business travel management services to the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC).
The contract will see the TMC provide accommodation, air and rail travel to institutions which form part of the consortium.
The SUPC is a combined purchasing consortia representing over 300 higher education and further education institutions across the UK. Total travel spend for the group, which includes air, rail, accommodation and vehicle hire is expected to exceed £100 million.
The news comes as Key Travel announces the appointment of Neville Davis as non-executive chairman of the group.
“We’re delighted to have Neville to help guide the board and senior team at such an exciting time in the company’s history,” said Spence Knudson, CEO of Key Travel.
“We already support more than 65 of the UK’s leading Universities and we are working closely with them to develop and launch a number of new technology-driven services over the coming months. Our expanded management team is now well placed to deliver industry-leading travel management services to our growing sectors.”
