A discussion on changes in distribution channels is set to give travel buyers and procurement managers the chance to quiz a panel of experts on their most pressing concerns at the BBT Forum on 8 November at the Hallam Conference Centre in London.

The session, titled “Distribution dynamics – plugging into new supplier technologies” will feature Adrian Parkes, CEO of the GTMC; Clare de Bono, head of product and innovation at Amadeus IT Group; and Louise Kilgannon, a former travel buyer and consultant at Festive Road.

The trio will cover changes in distribution channels taking place across the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), airlines, hotels and other suppliers. They will discuss direct connects and New Distribution Capability (NDC) fares, as well as who is really paying for the investment and the risks for buyers.

Attendees will get the chance to ask questions and weigh in on the discussion to find the answers to their concerns.

Other sessions throughout the day will cover topics such as wellbeing and mental health in travel programmes and the future of procurement.

The final session will be an open discussion to give attendees the chance to ask any questions they have gathered throughout the day.

There will also be ample networking opportunities throughout the day during several refreshment breaks, a buffet lunch and a drinks reception afterward.

BBT Forums, held in association with ACTE, do not feature formal presentations – there’s just open dialogue and two-way discussions.

Travel buyers, managers and procurement professionals can attend for a half day, or full, for free.
