Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has opened its newest property, Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour.
The opening comes after parent company the Fattal Group acquired the former Grand Harbour Hotel in November. The new operator says it will “retain the timeless character and ambience” of the property.
Originally opened in 1994 by De Vere, the property features 173 rooms and suites, as well as Southampton’s only Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, which will maintain its place at the hotel. Meanwhile, the newly named Royal Bar serves food all day and also offers al fresco dining on its terrace during the warmer months.
The hotel also has 13 meeting and event spaces, including the Mayflower function room, which holds up to 500 people.
The Spa at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Southampton Grand Harbour will relaunch with new packages and products for guests, while the property also features a leisure centre with a swimming pool.
Jason Carruthers, MD of Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, commented: “We are thrilled to be expanding our UK portfolio with this renowned hotel in Southampton. Whether you are planning a weekend city break, an overnight stay before you head off on a cruise or a relaxing afternoon at the spa, we are excited to welcome locals and guests old and new to experience our newest hotel.”
