De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden has unveiled the results of a £700,000 refurbishment of its meetings and events spaces.
The project was part of De Vere’s wider £50 million refurbishment of its portfolio and brings the property’s function rooms in line with the company’s Smart Space meetings concept.
De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms offers a selection of spaces ranging from the refurbished Grand Hall, which can hold up to 750 people, to the Covent Garden and Dorset rooms, which can accommodate up to 80 delegates each, and the smaller Board Rooms for up to 12.
In total, 13 of the venue’s meeting spaces were refurbished in the latest work and it now features De Vere’s Smart Space concept, which includes up to 1GB super-fast wifi, interactive displays and an on-site team of experts to help with any technology issues.
Each room is also equipped with AV technology and the venue now has De Vere’s coffee shop, Burr & Co, for delegates to enjoy a selection of hot drinks and healthy snacks during break-outs.
Members of De Vere’s Showtime Rewards corporate event scheme can also earn automatic rewards such as free cinema tickets, as well as benefits for delegates of the event.
Murray Wilson, general manager at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, commented: “I’m overjoyed with the results of the refurbishment. Event organisers are now spoilt for choice at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms – from intimate meetings in one of our board rooms to spectacular events in the Grand Hall, we can cater for any event.”
