Specialist TMC Key Travel has been acquired by private equity firm Elysian Capital.

Key Travel was backed by Livingbridge for a management buyout in 2013, and the TMC says the company has “come to the end of [its] investment cycle”.

The TMC specialises in providing travel services for the humanitarian, faith and education sectors. It currently operates in 54 countries, with more than 1,900 clients. The company will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2020.

Key Travel was 19th on BBT’s Leading 50 TMCs in 2018.

Saad Hammad, CEO of Key Travel, commented: “We are thrilled with the progress that Key Travel has made over the past five years.

“With the support of our new partners, Elysian Capital, we look forward to ramping up our global growth across new geographies over the coming years and fulfilling our ambition to double in size over the medium term.”
